Job summary

Thrivent Financial in Minnesota seeks an HR Service Center Associate to answer HR inquiries from employees, field staff, and external parties. You will handle standard HR processes, document interactions, and support benefits, payroll, and HR policies with accuracy and confidentiality.

Required is a high school diploma with at least one year in benefits/payroll/HRIS, plus strong customer service, communication, and detail orientation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; one year of benefits/payroll/HRIS experience preferred.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to prioritize responsibilities.
• Effective verbal and written communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service via multiple channels to employees, members, and outside parties regarding HR information and policies.
• Identify unspoken needs by actively listening and engaging with customers.
• Research and answer standard HR Center questions accurately to meet service level agreements.
• Log and document all interactions using the case management tool 100% of the time.
• Process standard HR tasks using HR systems (e.g., data changes, verifications of employment, time reporting).
• Escalate unusual/complex cases to the appropriate tier or other internal service centers as needed.
• Identify and suggest process improvements to better serve HR Center customers.
• Participate in special HR administration projects as assigned including benefits and payroll.
