Job summary

Addison Group is seeking an HR Specialist for a fully remote, temp-to-hire role primarily focused on payroll administration and compliance. You will manage bi-weekly payroll via ADP Workforce Now and support taxes, benefits, and onboarding in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of HR/payroll experience, strong attention to detail, and comfort owning payroll processes. Eastern Time Zone alignment is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of HR or payroll experience.
• Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now is required.
• Working knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll and employment regulations.
• Familiarity with payroll tax compliance and unemployment insurance administration.

Responsibilities

• Manage bi-weekly payroll processing through ADP Workforce Now, ensuring pay is accurate and on schedule.
• Review payroll information, deductions, and changes prior to processing.
• Reconcile payroll records and resolve discrepancies.
• Respond to employee questions related to payroll and compensation.
• Maintain payroll documentation for internal reviews and audits.
• Partner with accounting and finance on payroll reconciliation and reporting.
• Oversee payroll tax withholdings and local tax requirements.
• Track unemployment insurance rates and filings.
• Maintain compliance with wage and hour laws.
