Job summary

Soni in New York is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Coordinator to provide temporary support to a fast-paced payroll team. Qualifications

  • 0–2 years of payroll, HR, accounting, or administrative experience in a professional office environment.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now and Enhanced Time & Attendance (ETA) is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet strict deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Familiarity with multi-state payroll practices and wage and hour regulations is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Review, audit, and approve employee timesheets using ADP Workforce Now and Enhanced Time & Attendance (ETA) to ensure accurate payroll processing.
  • Monitor employee schedules, paid time off balances, and timekeeping records while ensuring compliance with company policies and payroll deadlines.
  • Partner with managers and HR to resolve timecard discrepancies, employee profile updates, and payroll-related inquiries.
  • Support new hire onboarding and employee maintenance by auditing payroll records, processing personnel changes, and validating employee data.
  • Review employee tax jurisdictions, direct deposit information, and voluntary/involuntary deductions to ensure payroll accuracy.
  • Assist with weekly and biweekly payroll processing by reviewing payroll registers, auditing payroll data, and supporting payroll reconciliations.
  • Generate payroll reports and respond to reporting requests as needed.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
  • Participate in payroll audits, team meetings, and special projects while providing administrative support to the Payroll department.

Key Responsibilities
