Job summary

Tenex Capital Management is seeking a Manager of HR Operations for our platform. You will own ADP administration, core HR processes, compliance, and partner company integrations to keep HR operations running reliably as we grow.

You will ensure data integrity, manage the compliance calendar, and support field HR teams with scalable HR processes and training. This role is 100% remote with a Chicago-region focus and occasional partner-site travel.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in HR operations or HRIS in a multi-site or multi-entity environment.
• Working knowledge of multi-state employment law and compliance requirements.
• Hands-on HRIS administration experience; ADP Workforce Now experience strongly preferred.
• Experience supporting the HR side of acquisitions or integrations (data conversion, onboarding, Day 1 readiness).
• Experience preparing compliance reporting such as EEO-1, 1095-C, and I-9 audits.
• Experience supervising or mentoring at least one HR team member (formal or informal).
• Strong process orientation; you document, follow through, and close the loop.
• Clear communicator who can train frontline managers and explain HR processes in plain language.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day HR operations including onboarding/offboarding processes and employment verifications.
• Administer leaves of absence and coordinate with Benefits Manager and third-party admins.
• Serve as first point of contact for partner company HR questions and route issues to the right owner.
• Conduct routine employee relations investigations and escalate complex or legal matters.
• Apply policies consistently across the platform and flag gaps to the VP of HR.
• Maintain case tracking and documentation standards for ER and leave matters.
• Execute people-side integration tasks for new partner acquisitions; Day 1 readiness.
