Job summary

Nova 401(k) Associates is seeking a fully remote HR Manager with strong interpersonal, organizational, and technical skills. The role supports all levels of personnel with HR and benefits matters, manages HR projects, and helps ensure confidentiality and compliance.

The position offers a base salary in the $95,000–$115,000 range plus bonus, with benefits including medical/dental/disability/life, 401(k) with employer match, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources or other business major.
• Minimum five years’ experience as a HR Generalist.
• Benefits and payroll experience a plus.
• Experience with Paylocity a plus.
• Ability to maintain confidential information.
• Excellent judgment about when to seek guidance from management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Superior organizational and coordination skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word.
• Committed to lifelong learning and coachable.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and guidance to HR generalists, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations
• Create learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees
• Manage benefits and 401(k) administration, including change reporting, invoice review, and communication of benefit information to employees
• Manage annual benefit renewal process and open enrollment
• Manage annual performance review and salary increase process
• Create and perform various training programs including management training
• Ensure benefit programs comply with applicable law, regulations, and best practices
• Stay current with HR and benefits laws and regulations
• Respond to government and agency inquiries and comply with all reporting requirements, escalating matters as appropriate
• Spearhead maintaining the Nova 401(k) Associates Employee Handbook
• Track employee compliance with continuing education and training requirements
• Prepare semi-monthly reports to management
• Coordinate with Talent Acquisition Manager; Our goal is to have HR Generalist and Payroll & Benefit Coordinator report to HR manager in 6 months to 18 months
• Perform other related duties as required
