Job summary

Emergent Software is a fast-growing, remote-first company seeking a Human Resources Manager to own the full HR function. You will build and lead a team over time, manage HR processes, and partner with leaders across the organization from anywhere in the United States.

You will drive benefits, compensation, policies, and compliance, while shaping employee experience and scalable HR systems as we grow. This role emphasizes judgment, trust, and transparent communication.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership roles.
• Strong knowledge of HR operations, benefits, compensation, and compliance.
• Experience advising managers through complex organizational situations.
• Proven ability to scale HR processes in a growing company.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across multiple states.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day HR operations and serve as trusted partner to leaders.
• Develop and scale HR processes, policies, and systems as we grow.
• Lead benefits, compensation, annual enrollment, and market benchmarking.
• Own onboarding/offboarding and employee lifecycle.
• Coordinate payroll and manage HR vendors with finance.
• Provide guidance on performance, development, and employee relations.
• Lead integration of acquired companies and communicate changes clearly.
• Build HR reporting and people metrics for leadership visibility.
