Job summary

The Pennant Group, Inc. is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to provide day-to-day HR support across Forged Together and affiliated agencies.

This role covers employee relations, onboarding, compliance, leave administration, performance management, payroll support, and HR records to ensure consistent HR practices across the organization. The position emphasizes remote work with occasional travel to agency locations or meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• Three or more years of HR generalist or comparable HR experience.
• Experience supporting employee relations, onboarding, compliance, and leave processes.
• Multi-location or healthcare experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
• Experience using Workday or a comparable human resources information system preferred.
• HR certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to routine employee and manager questions regarding policies, practices, and HR processes.
• Support employee relations matters, workplace investigations, coaching, corrective action, and performance documentation under the guidance of the HR Manager.
• Coordinate onboarding, status changes, transfers, and employee separations.
• Assist with leave-of-absence and accommodation processes and maintain related documentation.
• Maintain accurate employee records and support HRIS transactions and audits.
• Track required licenses, certifications, training, and other compliance items.
• Support recruiting, job postings, interviews, and new-hire activities as needed.
• Prepare reports and identify missing, inconsistent, or overdue HR information.
• Support agencies with finalizing payroll and coordination with the Pennant Payroll department.
• Assist with employee engagement and retention initiatives.
• Assist employees with compensation and benefits questions and coordinate with applicable Pennant partners as needed.
• Support compliance with applicable employment and equal employment opportunity laws, policies, and recordkeeping requirements.
• Support implementation and ongoing use of HR and compliance systems.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
