Job summary

American AgCredit is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to partner with a Senior HR Business Partner and support a defined group of leaders and teams. You will handle day-to-day people matters, guidance on HR policies, and practical HR solutions to align with business goals.

The role focuses on employee relations, performance management, onboarding, and talent initiatives across a remote, full-time work model. A strong HR background and ability to influence leaders are essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive HR experience with strong employee relations and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrated ability to coach and influence leaders on a wide range of employee and workplace issues.
• Strong working knowledge of employment laws, HR practices, and employee relations principles.
• Excellent judgment and ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
• Exceptional relationship-building and partnership skills.
• Experience supporting leaders in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Professional HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) preferred.

Responsibilities

• HR Partnership & Leader Support: Serve as a primary HR resource for leaders and employees on day-to-day people matters; provide guidance on HR policies and employment-related issues; build strong relationships with leaders and teams; partner with Senior HRBPs to support business objectives; support organizational and talent initiatives.
• Employee Relations & Performance Management: Manage routine and moderately complex employee relations matters; conduct fact-finding and investigations; advise leaders on performance concerns and disciplinary actions; maintain documentation; identify trends and propose solutions with Senior HRBPs.
• Leadership Support & Capability Building: Coach leaders on routine people situations; support performance management, development, feedback, and team effectiveness discussions; reinforce leadership expectations.
• Talent Processes & Organizational Support: Support talent reviews, succession planning, performance management, employee engagement, and development planning; coordinate communications and logistics for talent initiatives; assist with reorganizations and onboarding.
• HR Operations & Process Excellence: Maintain documentation and records; ensure compliance with policies and regulations; identify process improvements; participate in HR projects and provide cross-functional support.
