Job summary

The Pennant Group, Inc. is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to provide day-to-day HR support to Forged Together and affiliated agencies.

You will handle employee relations, onboarding, compliance, leave administration, performance documentation, and payroll support while ensuring consistent HR practices across the organization. Under the Human Resources Manager, you will address routine HR matters and escalate complex issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3+ years HR generalist experience.
• Experience with employee relations, onboarding, compliance, and leave processes.
• Multi-location or healthcare experience preferred.
• Knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
• Experience with HRIS (Workday or similar).
• HR certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to routine questions about policies, practices, and HR processes.
• Support employee relations matters, investigations, coaching, and performance documentation.
• Coordinate onboarding, status changes, transfers, and separations.
• Assist with leave-of-absence and accommodation processes.
• Maintain employee records and support HRIS transactions and audits.
• Track licenses, certifications, training, and compliance items.
• Support recruiting, postings, interviews, and new-hire activities.
• Prepare reports and identify missing or overdue HR information.
• Coordinate with payroll for agency payroll and Pennant Payroll.
• Assist with employee engagement and benefits coordination.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and recordkeeping requirements.
• Support HR systems implementation and ongoing use.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
