Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a dynamic HR Administrator to join our HR Team to support a variety of HR functions. You will be the first point of contact for HR queries, work with HR Business Partners and HR Generalists, and maintain personnel records and internal databases.

The role is remote within the US with required onsite presence in Fairfax, VA two days per week, supporting the corporate office. Ideal for candidates with 0–2 years of HR experience seeking growth in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s with 0-2 years (or commensurate experience).
• Strong MS Office experience (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
• Exceptional attention to detail, ability to prioritize, multitask, time management and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
• Customer service orientation with a helpful attitude.
• Experience as HR Administrator or similar role.
• Must be onsite in Fairfax, VA two days per week.

Responsibilities

• Assist with a variety of HR projects.
• Complete employment verification paperwork.
• Clarify policies and procedures to employees.
• Support HR Partners and Generalists with admin tasks.
• Answer employee queries on HR issues.
• Maintain internal records and HR documents.
• Process EOI documentation.
• Resolve benefits issues and respond to inquiries.
• Meet with background investigators and provide requested documents.
• Oversee onsite HR Assistant’s work two days a week.
• Maintain onsite file room and scans.
