Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking an HPC HW Engineer for a remote/teleworker role. The candidate will provide technical consulting and lead hardware support for HPC systems, engaging with customers and internal teams to ensure satisfaction and growth.

You will troubleshoot Linux-based hardware, manage on-call duties, and collaborate across multi-technology environments. The role requires security clearance eligibility and travel for training as needed.

Qualifications

• Clearance: TS clearance; TS/SCI preferred.
• Certifications: CompTIA Security+ and Linux+ (or RHCSA/RHCE/CISSP equivalents) before start date.
• Location: Must be located near the customer assigned work location.
• Experience: HW installation and repair – servers, storage, switches, etc.
• Availability to work on-site for rotational, after-hours, and weekend on-call schedules.

Responsibilities

• Report daily and work onsite at the customer location.
• Monitor and maintain the health of HPC systems (compute, network, storage).
• Troubleshoot and repair hardware issues.
• Perform daily hardware diagnostics and repairs.
• Create, track, and close support cases; return parts per policy and SLAs.
• Maintain availability reports to track SLAs.
• Maintain on-call schedule for 24x7x2/4 coverage.
• Support new system installations with hands-on HW/SW and customer acceptance testing.
• Collaborate with team and customers to maintain relationships.
• Maintain onsite parts inventory.
• Occasional travel for training.
