Job summary

City Heights Community Development Corporation (City Heights CDC) seeks an Intake Coordinator to support housing stability and eviction prevention efforts in San Diego. You will handle referrals, eligibility screening, and client intake while coordinating with Case Managers and Housing Navigators to connect households with services.

The role emphasizes data integrity, compassionate client contact, and trauma-informed care, with remote-friendly options and a 40-hour workweek.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
• Experience in intake, eligibility screening, social services, or administrative program coordination preferred.
• Strong organizational and administrative skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage high volumes of referrals and deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; professional, compassionate client interaction.
• Experience with databases or CRM systems; Salesforce is a plus.
• Bilingual ability in Spanish, Somali, Vietnamese, Khmer, Arabic, Swahili, or another local language is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate referrals, eligibility screenings, intake, and enrollment with case managers and navigators.
• Collect and verify income and housing documentation; ensure data accuracy.
• Maintain records in Salesforce and other systems; monitor timelines and performance indicators.
• Communicate professionally with partners and internal staff to ensure coordinated services.
• Support program reporting, audits, and reimbursement processes as needed.
