Capital Health seeks a Hospital Outpatient Coder 2 to assign ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes, CPT/HCPCS procedure codes, and modifiers for outpatient encounters, including ER and same-day records. Remote role with consideration for NJ, PA, or AL candidates.

The ideal candidate will have CPC or COC credentials preferred, strong attention to detail, and experience with encoder and EMR systems to ensure compliant coding and timely reimbursement.

Qualifikationen

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: CPC or COC preferred.
• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS. Familiar with an encoder and EMR.

Aufgaben

• Codes outpatient services including ER, outpatient in a bed, same day medicals, and SDSs.
• Meets productivity and quality benchmarks.
• Collaborates with CDI, billing, and revenue integrity teams to improve documentation and reimbursement.
• Contacts providers to obtain missing documentation timely to reduce DNFB.
• Abstracts data with high accuracy under policy.
