Job summary

MEDHOST is seeking an Account Follow-up Representative I for remote work across the United States. The role focuses on reviewing and resolving outstanding insurance balances on hospital patient accounts and learning multiple hospital systems to resolve payor denials and unpaid claims.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in related fields and a high school diploma; CST/EST time zones are a plus. Wage ranges from $18 to $26 per hour with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Basic computer applications knowledge (Excel, Word, email, databases).
• Proficiency with telephone systems for outbound/inbound calls.
• Ability to handle PHI securely and in compliance with HIPAA.

Responsibilities

• Follow up on hospital patient accounts to verify insurance payment status and rebill if needed.
• Work 30-40 accounts per day for assigned payors and meet resolution timelines.
• Communicate with insurance companies to secure payment of outstanding balances.
