Job summary

Northwest Indiana Special Education Cooperative (NISEC) seeks a Virtual Homebound Special Education Teacher to deliver individualized instruction to students with disabilities receiving homebound services. The role uses IEP-aligned virtual lessons and collaborates with families and school staff.

You will adapt content for accessibility, coordinate with teachers to maintain continuity of learning, monitor progress, document sessions, and support transitions back to school.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in special education or related field.
• Valid Indiana teaching license in special education.
• Knowledge of IEP implementation and progress monitoring.
• Ability to use virtual platforms and LMS.
• Strong organization and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing student needs.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver individualized virtual instruction aligned with IEP.
• Adapt lessons and pacing to meet students’ needs.
• Coordinate with families and school staff for supports.
