Job summary

Indiana Connections Academy in Indiana is seeking a Special Education Teacher to manage instructional programs for students with special needs, delivering instruction from your home office.

You will collaborate with learning coaches, develop and implement IEPs, evaluate assessments, coordinate testing accommodations, and maintain accurate data in the LMS while using web-conferencing tools to deliver services.

Qualifications

• Degree in Special Education or related Education Field.
• Must reside in the state of Indiana.
• Indiana Special Education K-12 credential.
• Experience in policy (IDEA) and/or administration with Special Education.
• Strong technology skills (Microsoft Office products and Google Suite).
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Customer focused approach.
• High degree of flexibility.
• Demonstrated ability to work well in fast paced environment.
• Team player track record.
• Willingness to travel for marketing and state testing events (may require occasional overnight travel).
• Must be able to use a personal electronic device and email address for 2-step authentication.

Responsibilities

• Manage instructional programs for students with special needs via virtual instruction.
• Develop, write and help implement IEPs.
• Evaluate tests and assessments and conduct parent conferences.
• Communicate regularly with parents/learning coaches to meet IEP goals.
• Consult with teachers to implement specially designed instruction per IEP.
• Provide direct services to students via web-conferencing.
• Schedule and conduct IEP meetings in a virtual environment.
• Participate in Student Support Team and modify programs for all students.
• Maintain IEP paperwork and data in LMS and software.
• Assist with administering state testing and coordinate required adaptations.
• Other duties as assigned.
