Job summary

The CDC Foundation is seeking an Epidemiologist to support the New York State Department of Health’s HIV/AIDS program. This hybrid role will analyze surveillance data, develop rapid treatment initiation reports, and evaluate program objectives across the AIDS Institute.

Collaboration with BHAE and DART will be essential to identify populations at risk and inform policy decisions. Responsibilities include conducting cluster analyses, reporting, and ensuring data quality while maintaining strict

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with math or statistics and 2+ years epidemiologic experience OR Associate’s degree with 5 years of experience OR Master’s degree in public health with 1+ year of experience.
Experience with relational databases, SQL, SAS, SPSS or other statistical software.
Experience with HIV/AIDS population data preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Serve as the Evaluation Coordinator for the Rapid Initiation of Antiretroviral Treatment Project (RIA).
Develop and evaluate SMART objectives for program evaluation.
Prepare and present monthly evaluation meetings and data materials.
Coordinate trainings and distribute materials.
Develop SAS-based reports and macros for rapid, routine reporting.
Organize documents on secure networks and Teams; ensure confidentiality.
Identify and monitor HIV clusters using surveillance data and SAS analyses.
Draft quarterly cluster reports for CDC submission.
Lead data analyses and quality checks for DART-produced products.
