Job summary

DLH Corp is seeking a Public Health Research Analyst to support CDC HIV prevention data initiatives using SAS and R coding. Responsibilities include validating surveillance data, building codebooks, and ensuring data quality across multiple sources.

The role emphasizes collaboration with analysts, dissemination to partners, and producing reliable data products for internal and external stakeholders. The position is remote with limited in-person requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public health, statistics, or related field.
• 2 years of experience with R or SAS.
• Ability to work with multiple data sources to monitor data quality.
• Clear communication (written and verbal).

Responsibilities

• Develop SAS programs for validating surveillance, clinical, or research study data.
• Verify that all variables that should be included in the resulting dataset are present and extraneous variables are excluded.
• Identify data discrepancies and other inconsistencies in the resulting dataset.
• Develop codebooks and data management plans.
• Run duplicate procedures and comparison of results to ensure validity.
• Conduct geospatial and molecular HIV analysis and interpret results using R.
• Work collaboratively with other analysts to develop novel code in support of analyses.
• Support dissemination and reporting of data to internal and external partners.
