Job summary
Banner Health is seeking a Health Information Management Technician (HIMS Tech) in Tucson to support acute care HIMS functions. Qualifications
- Requires knowledge of health information practices and principles.
- Experience with electronic health records and health information management.
- Ability to process and maintain confidential medical records with accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Handle releases of health information in compliance with laws.
- Review health information for provider completion and deficiencies.
- Assist patients and staff via phone, email, or in person.
- Perform document imaging, scanning, QC, and validation.
- Maintain integrity of the electronic medical record through reviews and updates.
- Provide training on Dragon/voice recognition and assist with portal enrollment.
