Job summary

Jobgether SRL in the United States is seeking an experienced HIM Outpatient Coding Supervisor for a fully remote leadership role. You will guide coding teams, ensure compliant outpatient coding practices, and collaborate with physicians and managers to drive revenue integrity.

Responsibilities include mentoring staff, auditing coding quality, identifying trends, and providing education across departments while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of coding standards and regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years in health information management, medical coding, or a related healthcare discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of people leadership or supervisory experience.
• Current RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CPC certification maintained throughout employment.
• Strong senior-level outpatient coding experience, including E/M charging and injection/infusion charging.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance to coders and revenue integrity teams on complex patient-care cases and code assignment.
• Analyze clinical documentation and coding information to ensure accurate, compliant practices.
• Review records to detect patterns, errors, and education opportunities.
• Lead and coach a coding team, including performance guidance.
• Stay current with coding standards, terminology, and regulatory practices.
• Support coder audit and education activities with findings to improve quality.
