Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be able to read, write, take verbal instruction and perform basic arithmetic.
• Previous HIM or Release of Information Department experience preferred.
• Medical Coding experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process and manage requests for the release of patient health information in an accurate, timely, and efficient manner.
• Ensure confidentiality, security, and integrity of patient records and compliance with HIPAA and applicable laws.
• Assist in coding of charts as needed.
