Qualifications

• One year of current and continuous full-time ICD-10 & CPT-4 coding experience.
• Proficient in navigation of EHR applications, automated encoders, and related software/hardware.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Demonstrated coding knowledge with a 90% accuracy in an on-site skills assessment prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Apply ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT-4 codes to encounters with high specificity.
• Review and interpret medical records to identify diagnoses and procedures for billing.
• Communicate with physicians regarding documentation requirements.
• Maintain current knowledge of coding rules and guidelines and perform accurately with minimal supervision.
