Job summary

CEG Solutions seeks a Higher Education Business Development Executive to lead regional sales in the higher education market, promoting energy efficiency and infrastructure modernization with a solution-based approach.

You will drive opportunity development across public and private sectors, collaborate with internal teams, conduct ROI analyses, and present at conferences to expand CEG’s national footprint. Remote work with regional travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree; master’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years in complex sales or business development in the higher education vertical.
• Proven ability to build internal and external partnership ecosystems for customer acquisition.
• Consultative sales experience across a multi-state territory.
• 5+ years of ROI-based financial transactions related to energy conservation, sustainability, or facility optimization.

Responsibilities

• Develop, own, and execute a regional sales growth plan in the higher education market.
• Use a Solution Sales process to qualify and disqualify complex opportunities for robust results.
• Drive next stage of business development, identifying sector-specific strategies to raise revenue and impact.
• Lead client meetings and negotiate contracts on behalf of CEG Solutions.
• Build relationships with potential partners across all organizational levels and assess technical needs.
