Job summary

Clarivate is seeking a Product Sales Manager, Higher Education to partner with the Academic Field Sales team across the Midwest and West states, selling Web of Science and related platforms to universities to advance research, teaching and assessment.

You will own product-led sales strategy, build a strong pipeline, increase deal sizes, and drive cross-sell expansion within existing Academic customers while supporting selective new logo acquisition.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in research platform solutions, APIs or integration for Academic clients.
• Prior selling experience and in-depth knowledge of the US Academic Market.

Responsibilities

• Achieve sales targets for assigned products and territories in line with Clarivate objectives.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities independently or with Account Managers to grow market presence.
• Leverage product expertise to design and present value-added solutions addressing customer needs.
• Develop and maintain a robust pipeline with Account Managers to increase deal size and speed up cycles.
• Establish and nurture customer relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service.
• Collaborate with Account Managers and other teams to shape product sales planning and campaigns.
• Build and present reports on activities, interactions, pipeline status, forecasts, and timelines.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement effective sales programs and new business activities.
• Continuously expand market, industry, and product knowledge to improve commercial effectiveness.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
