Job summary

DEPCOM Power, a Koch company, seeks a High Voltage Project Manager to lead turnkey substation and interconnection projects across the Midwest. You will drive performance, review engineering deliverables, and coordinate with EPC contractors from engineering through commissioning.

The ideal candidate has an electrical engineering background and can work remotely within the U.S. with about 50% travel. This role does not sponsor visas and offers growth within a rapidly expanding project portfolio.

Qualifications

• HV substation, transmission, interconnection project experience required.
• Ability to review HV engineering drawings, specs, studies, and deliverables.
• Knowledge of substation design, construction, protection and control, and interconnection requirements.
• Experience managing EPC contractors, engineering consultants, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Familiarity with NESC, NEC, IEEE, and ANSI standards.
• Valid driver's license and legal work status in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead HV substation and interconnection projects from engineering through commissioning.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, risk, and deliverables.
• Influence EPC contractors, consultants, utilities, and vendors.
• Lead technical reviews of substation packages, protection/control designs.
• Review HV design docs and studies throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure safety and compliance with standards and codes.
• Monitor contractor performance and resolve issues.
• Conduct site visits to assess progress and risks.
• Collaborate with engineering/construction to mitigate risks.
• Communicate status and recommendations to leadership.
• Support procurement for HV equipment and materials.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities.
