Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a High Voltage Substation Inspector for our Seattle, WA location. This role offers up to 100% travel and the option to work remotely from mutually acceptable locations, joining our PCI team on challenging projects.

You will perform field inspections, collect data, generate concise reports, and ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and safety standards. A strong background in inspection, licensure, and communication is essential.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent; a related Bachelor's is preferred.
Minimum of 9 years post-education construction inspection experience.
Proficiency with Word and Excel; ability to prepare reports.
Valid state driver’s license and ability to pass MVR background check.
Knowledge of construction inspection principles, codes, and documentation requirements.

Responsibilities

Perform field inspections to verify conformance with plans and codes.
Document inspection results with photographs, sketches, and reports.
Evaluate site conditions including concrete, pipelines, earthwork, and structures.
Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and contractors to resolve issues.
Provide guidance to junior staff and assist with risk assessment.
