Job summary

WSP is seeking a High Voltage Transmission Line Inspector for its Power Constructors, Inc. (PCI) sector with bases in Fort Worth, Abilene or Waco, Texas. The role allows remote work from mutually agreed locations and may require up to 100% travel to project sites.

Responsibilities include field inspections to verify conformance with plans and codes, documenting inspection findings, and providing technical guidance. Strong written communication, data analysis, and safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; proven experience accepted
• Minimum 9 years post-education construction inspection experience
• Essential professional licensure/certification(s)
• Valid state driver’s license; pass MVR background check
• Knowledge of inspection principles, codes, and record-keeping requirements
• Analytical mindset with sound judgment in evaluations
• Strong interpersonal/communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to work independently or in a team; multitask in dynamic environments
• Proven safety track record and ability to travel as needed

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze site data, surveys, blueprints, and drawings for inspections
• Perform field inspections using surveying tools to ensure conformance with plans and permits
• Provide technical guidance and support on inspection and construction activities
• Prepare technical reports with photographs, calculations, and diagrams
• Manage project progress; identify and resolve issues and risks
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and cross-functional teams
• Attend pre-construction meetings and assist with payments calculations
