Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a High Voltage Preconstruction Project Manager to lead all preconstruction activities for high-voltage electrical infra projects, including substations, transmission lines, and BESS.

This fully remote role requires coordination with clients, utilities, and internal teams from concept through construction handoff. The role emphasizes planning, estimating, risk assessment, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure successful project execution and handoff to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CM/engineering or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 7+ years in electrical construction, high-voltage projects, estimating or PM.
• 3+ years leading preconstruction activities preferred.
• Experience with substations, transmission lines, utility-scale solar, wind, BESS.
• Experience managing projects exceeding $10M.

Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction for high-voltage projects from 12kV to 500kV+.
• Oversee planning, budgeting, scheduling, and constructability reviews.
• Develop project execution strategies aligned with client objectives.
• Coordinate preconstruction deliverables from inception to turnover.
• Prepare conceptual, budgetary, and detailed estimates.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and analyze bid documents.
• Serve as primary preconstruction contact for clients and utilities.
• Lead risk assessment, value engineering, and mitigation plans.
• Develop detailed project schedules and monitor milestones.
• Support procurement, bid packages, and vendor evaluations.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure alignment.
