Job summary

EXL Service Holdings, Inc. is seeking self-directed independent contractors to perform high value residential surveys from their own home or office in Cedar Rapids, IA and surrounding territory within approximately a 100-mile radius. The role involves both virtual and site-based inspections for homeowners’ insurance purposes.

Candidates with real estate, insurance, inspection, construction, or appraising experience are encouraged to apply. A 15-hour online training can certify you.

Qualifications

• Experience in real estate, insurance, inspection, construction or appraising is a plus.
• A 15 hour online training course can get you certified.
• Fees are negotiable depending on experience and the unique aspects of selected jobs.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and conduct on-site and virtual High Value Home property surveys.
• Coordinate and complete surveys within your own schedule and workload.
• Manage work assignments you accept and report findings via the web-based Castle platform.
• Identify construction materials, characteristics and unique features of the home.
• Obtain measurements of the home and other structures on the property.
• Generate an estimated replacement value of the home and identify major hazards.
• Interact professionally with homeowners and insurance agents by phone, email, and in person.
