Position Description

This is a remote position. Shift: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm EST

Proton Dealership IT, an affiliate of Reynolds and Reynolds, is seeking a customer-focused IT Helpdesk Support Technician. You will be the first point of contact for customers, resolving a variety of technical issues promptly. Your role involves working directly with clients via phone, troubleshooting their technical problems, and documenting issues thoroughly in Proton's ticketing system. Responsibilities include:

  • Document problems, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions
  • Replace failed hardware on desktops and laptops (motherboards, NICs, video cards, monitors, keyboards)
  • Troubleshoot networking equipment including switches, routers, and firewalls

Training

On-the-job training provided.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years in IT Helpdesk/Desktop Support role
  • IT certifications or technical education
  • Experience with Windows Active Directory domains
  • Proficiency with ticketing systems
  • Expertise in printer, scanner, and wireless troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of networking devices, switches, routers, firewalls
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Server products (Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2012) and Exchange Server (2007, 2010, 2013)
