Job summary

Community Health Network of Connecticut, Inc. is seeking four QM Nurse Abstractors to support the 2027 HEDIS audit. These temporary assignments run January 2027 through May 2027 and may require occasional travel within Connecticut.

The position is remote/hybrid with responsibilities centered on medical record abstraction and data analysis. Candidates must hold an active RN license, possess strong HEDIS knowledge, and be proficient with EPIC and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted RN license required.
• Strong knowledge of HEDIS technical specifications and NCQA guidelines (1–2 years).
• Excellent audit/abstraction of medical records.
• Experience with managed care membership, provider, or hospital systems preferred.
• Proficient computer skills and ability to log into multiple SaaS tools.
• Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Understand codes for services based on HEDIS Technical Specifications.

Responsibilities

• Conduct medical record abstraction reviews and data analysis.
• Apply technical specifications to electronic and written records in the HEDIS platform.
• Work under supervision to meet productivity goals and project deadlines.
• Pass a medical record abstraction test before starting reviews.
• Develop strategies to accomplish project goals within the season.
