Job summary

Vermeer Midwest is seeking a Remote Heavy Equipment Service Technician in Sterling Heights, MI. You will operate a fully equipped service truck, diagnose and repair hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical issues, and perform preventive maintenance for customers in the Sterling Heights area.

You will maintain service records, communicate with customers and internal teams, and manage your schedule with a well-maintained truck. A CDL is preferred and a background check will be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience repairing heavy-duty vehicles or equipment.
• Valid Chauffeur's license and medical card required; CDL preferred.
• Background in agricultural equipment is a plus.
• Must pass a background check, drug screen, and MVR check.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical issues on heavy equipment.
• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain accurate service records and reports.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams.
• Manage schedule and truck maintenance, cleanliness.
