Job summary

Vermeer All Roads in Chesapeake, VA is seeking a Heavy Equipment Field Service Technician to inspect, diagnose, and repair Vermeer and similar construction equipment on location. You’ll operate autonomously in the field, delivering safe, timely, and professional service while communicating with customers and the Service team.

Daily travel to customer sites is required. You will diagnose hydraulic/electrical systems, perform repairs and cost estimates, and participate in ongoing training and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Hands-on hydraulics and electrical systems experience required.
• Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
• Willingness to travel daily to customer sites.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair, and recondition Vermeer equipment (field-based).
• Diagnose malfunctions in hydraulic, electrical, and hydrostatic systems.
• Prepare cost estimates (CDK a plus).
• Perform welding/fabrication as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of all repairs performed.
• Stay current with industry and technical advancements.
• Communicate with factory/OEM for technical support.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
