On Call Counsel seeks a Hearing Representative to support a New York City project addressing the backlog of special education claims. You will represent the agency throughout the claims process—from intake to resolution or settlement—and handle a high-volume caseload in a remote work setting.

Key qualifications include an active bar license in good standing and 1+ years of litigation experience, plus proficiency with Microsoft Office and virtual tools.

• Active bar license in good standing in any U.S. state.
• Minimum 1+ years of litigation experience (more preferred).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; ability to troubleshoot basic tech issues.
• Ability to log activities in 15-minute increments throughout the workday.
• Remote-work readiness: dedicated workspace, reliable Wi‑Fi, and comfort with virtual tools.

• Case Management: Manage a high-volume caseload of 100–200 special education claims.
• Representation: Prepare for and/or litigate complex cases in administrative hearings and settlements.
• Administrative Process: Navigate procedures under federal and state education laws and regulations.
• Documentation: Prepare and review filings, agreements, and reports with accuracy.
• Settlement Negotiation: Work with parents and counsel to reach fair resolutions and negotiate attorney’s fees.
