Job summary

Lifepoint Health, Inc. is seeking a Hospital Call Center Scheduler – Remote to support scheduling for primary care practices from a centralized team.

The role involves answering inbound calls and coordinating patient appointments while ensuring accuracy in data entry and adherence to scheduling protocols. The position emphasizes patient-first communication, confidentiality, and the ability to work across multiple software systems in a remote team environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Two years of related medical setting experience, or one year healthcare call center or customer service experience, or 3+ years of call center experience.
• Proficient with Windows Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to learn specialized computer applications.
• Excellent communication and multitasking across several applications while assisting clients.
• Must reside in the United States.
• Preferred typing speed of at least 25 WPM.
• Technology requirements: Internet speed of 100 Mbps download and 20 Mbps upload.

Responsibilities

• Answer inbound calls and schedule patients for appointments for primary care.
• Schedule, reschedule and/or cancel patient appointments following scheduling protocols.
• Accurately collect and enter patient demographics and insurance information.
• Use professional communication to assist patients with their scheduling needs.
• Maintain confidentiality and provide exceptional customer service to all clients.
• Navigate multiple software systems on dual monitors and keep documentation current.
• Assist with other projects as assigned by management.
