Job summary

UnitedHealth Group in the U.S. seeks a Healthcare Data Analytics Consultant, Quality Measurement to lead data-driven quality measure initiatives and policy-driven analytics. You will work on CMS-aligned measures, develop protocols, and mentor teams.

Remote work from anywhere in the U.S. with in-office requirement for Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area four days per week. Strong policy and data skills preferred, with growth opportunities across the OptumCare platform.

Qualifications

• Health policy professional with 4+ years in health services research, evaluation or policy.
• Experience leading business development and proposal responses with clients and partners.
• Experience on quality measure engagements, preferably federal programs (CMS).
• Experience with data sources for health care quality (claims, EHR, chart abstraction).
• Ability to translate policy/measure specs into technical requirements and logic.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate evidence on effectiveness for clinical measures from CMS/NQF sources.
• Code to extract/transform/analyze large healthcare datasets (Python/SQL/R/SAS).
• Design coding solutions to automate measure calculations and quality reporting.
• Develop test measure protocols and measure specifications.
• Analyze quality measurement for Medicare/Medicaid payment models.
• Track standards-setting committees and manage project proposals.
• Engage clients through policy consultation and thought leadership.
• Support long-term growth with organizational leadership.
