Job summary

UnitedHealth Group seeks a Healthcare Data Analytics Consultant, Quality Measurement, to lead policy-driven analytics and quality measure projects across CMS programs. You will develop data-driven insights, guide measure development, and grow client relationships while advancing health policy objectives.

The role offers remote work nationwide with in-office time in certain hubs, and opportunities to influence national health policy through analytics and thought leadership.

Qualifications

• Health policy professional with 4+ years in health services research, evaluation, or policy.
• Experience leading business development and proposal responses.
• Experience on quality measure engagements, preferably for CMS.
• Experience with data sources for measuring health care quality (claims, EHR, etc.).
• Ability to translate policy into technical requirements and implementation logic.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate evidence on effectiveness for clinical measures from admin data, EHRs, and other sources per CMS/NQF requirements.
• Code to extract, transform, analyze, and validate large healthcare datasets (Python/SQL/R/SAS).
• Design and implement coding solutions to automate measure calculations and reporting.
• Develop test measure protocols and specifications.
• Perform quantitative analyses to inform quality measurement for Medicare/Medicaid payment models.
• Track standards-setting committees and consensus bodies like NQF.
• Draft and manage proposals for new projects on measure development, testing, maintenance, implementation.
• Engage and expand client relationships through policy consultation and thought leadership.
• Support development of strategy for long-term organizational growth with leadership.
