Job summary

SharpeVision MODERN LASIK & LENS seeks an experienced IT contractor to support multiple clinic locations remotely and onsite in Washington. You will be the primary IT contact, ensuring secure access to EHR systems and medical devices, while coordinating with vendors and keeping systems compliant with HIPAA/HITECH.

The role requires healthcare IT experience, familiarity with EMA EHR, and strong networking and cross‑clinic support skills. Some onsite travel to WA locations is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• At least two years of healthcare IT experience is highly preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years prior experience in a hospital, clinic, or regulated healthcare environment is required, with understanding of HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for routine technical support including hardware, software, network, and peripherals.
• Manage EHR access and patient data security, assist with medical device integrations and vendor software.
• Ensure HIPAA/HITECH compliance, and manage firewalls/servers for security and maintenance.
• Maintain clinic workstations, printers, routers, imaging servers, and licenses for hardware.
• Assist with setup and integration of clinical medical devices and VOIP phone systems.
• Collaborate with external healthcare software vendors and ISPs to resolve outages and assist with contracts.
