SharpeVision MODERN LASIK & LENS seeks an experienced IT contractor to provide company-wide technology support for clinics across multiple states, with remote and on-site duties in Washington. You will manage EHR accounts, ensure HIPAA compliance, and maintain Google Suite and network infrastructure.
The role requires healthcare IT background, familiarity with EMA EHR, and coordination with vendors to resolve complex outages and support medical devices.
SharpeVision is seeking an experienced IT professional with previous experience in the healthcare sector. This is an ongoing contractor role that will support clinic locations in Illinois, Texas, and Ohio remotely. Additionally, this individual will support the Washington locations in Bellevue and Renton remotely, but must be within close travel proximity to the two locations for onsite support when needed. As our primary IT contact, you will provide comprehensive, company-wide technology support across all of our clinics.

High school diploma or GED required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred. At least two years of healthcare IT experience is highly preferred. A minimum of 2 years p rior experience working within a hospital, clinic, or regulated healthcare environment is required, alongside a strong understanding of HIPAA compliance .
Experience with Modernizing Medicine (EMA EHR) is highly desired. Prior experience with Vonage phone systems, Phreesia, MD Prospects, are all plus.
Strong working knowledge of Windows/Mac OS,iPad OS, Google Suite active directory, cloud storage, and basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, Wi-Fi troubleshooting).
Experience configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining medical equipment and operating systems is a must. Prior knowledge with Alcon, Nidek, Zeiss, and Zeimer equipment is highly desired but not required.
Fluency of the English language. Speech clarity and recognition. Excellent oral and written communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to clinical and administrative staff.
Ability to collect data and establish facts. Ability to interpret technical instructions in written or diagram form with the ability to use logic.
This contractor position will mostly work remotely and provide assistance to all SharpeVision locations. Onsite clinic support is expected in the Washington locations when remote support does not resolve outstanding issues. If offsite locations in Texas, Illinois, or Ohio require onsite support, a plan of action is expected to help resolve IT issues within these locations.
While the majority of the work is performed remotely, physical demands will be presented when onsite in clinical locations. This can include heavy lifting and moving of computer and medical equipment for installation or repairs.
The ability to maintain and work with private patient and clinical data is required to be handled with the utmost care and confidentiality.
