Job summary

Care Lumen leads the design and delivery of scalable data exchange across a broad set of systems and vendors, acting as an integration SME advising on architecture, integration patterns, and governance. You will champion HL7 v2, FHIR, and X12 standards with API-first approaches and strong cross-team collaboration.

As an integration expert, you’ll drive discovery sessions, define reference architectures, and evangelize standards while ensuring secure, observable, and reliable data movement across

Qualifications

• 7+ years in integration engineering or related fields.
• Hands-on HL7 v2 and/or FHIR design/implementation.
• Experience with X12 (270/271, 276/277, 834, 835) and HIPAA considerations.
• Pattern knowledge: synchronous/asynchronous, batch, queues/events.
• Proven delivery ownership and cross-functional collaboration.
• Excellent written communication for specs and runbooks.

Responsibilities

• Define scalable, secure integration approaches.
• Lead end-to-end integrations from discovery to go-live.
• Design APIs, specs, versioning, error handling.
• Drive interoperability standards adoption.
• Collaborate with data owners, security, compliance, and clients.
• Run high-stakes discovery sessions and provide strategies.
• Establish runbooks and observability practices.
• Define testing strategies and support UAT.
• Represent integration status to leadership and build playbooks.
