Job summary

Sound Physicians is seeking an Associate Compliance Coding Auditor to perform routine coding and documentation audits across CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, and modifiers. You will document findings, follow established workflows, and escalate complex matters to senior staff.

The role emphasizes remote-friendly collaboration within a physician-led, nationwide healthcare group, with a strong focus on accuracy, compliance, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Foundational CPT/ ICD-10-CM/ HCPCS knowledge and medical documentation understanding.
• Experience with healthcare coding review and compliance auditing preferred.
• Active coding credentials required (CPC, CCS, CCS-P, COC, RHIT, RHIA).

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine coding and documentation audits using established methodologies and tools.
• Review medical records for CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, and modifiers.
• Document audit findings with rationale in designated systems.
• Complete audits through workflow including communication and education handoffs.
• Escalate complex or high-risk matters to senior team members.
