Job summary

GeBBS Healthcare Solutions is seeking an experienced Coding Compliance Auditor to join our remote team. You will audit inpatient and outpatient records for accurate ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, and HCPCS coding, ensure alignment with CMS and payer requirements, and identify trends to drive improvements in documentation and coding quality.

Ideal candidates bring 4+ years of acute care coding, active credentials (CCS/RHIA/RHIT/CPC/CIC), and strong Medicare knowledge, with the ability to educate

Qualifications

• 4+ years of acute care inpatient & outpatient coding experience including quality or compliance auditing.
• Active credentials such as CCS, RHIA, RHIT, CPC, or CIC.
• Strong understanding of Medicare reimbursement methodologies (MS-DRGs, IPPS, OPPS).
• Experience interpreting clinical documentation to improve coding accuracy and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform audits of inpatient and outpatient records to validate ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, and HCPCS code assignments.
• Ensure coding practices align with CMS, OIG, AHIMA, AAPC, payer, and client regulations.
• Identify trends, compliance risks, and reimbursement opportunities through detailed analysis.
• Develop actionable audit reports with findings and recommendations for process improvement.
• Collaborate with coding leaders to resolve discrepancies and strengthen documentation quality.
• Provide education to coders and clinical staff based on audit findings and regulatory guidance.
• Monitor coding quality metrics and recommend improvement strategies.
