Qualifications

• Prior work experience in a call center and healthcare customer service setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with medical billing software such as Artiva, Cerner Soarian, or EPIC is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with professional grammar and etiquette.
• Ability to navigate multiple computer applications and databases while handling calls.

Responsibilities

• Take calls from patients, law offices, insurance companies, and other outside facilities to resolve complex billing and insurance issues.
• Make outbound calls and take inbound calls to resolve balances on accounts with aging status but not sent to collections.
• Explain deductibles, co-pays, and denials and assist with payment options and processing.
• Identify payment resources and referrals to clients as needed, while following client guidelines.
