Job summary

Fringe Benefit Group in Austin, TX is seeking an entry-level Customer Service Representative to handle member, provider, and broker inquiries primarily via inbound calls, with additional contact types as needed.

You will resolve benefits, eligibility, enrollment, claims, and retirement account questions while upholding HIPAA guidelines, delivering friendly, accurate information, and building lasting relationships with internal and external partners.

Qualifications

• Requires a minimum of a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• Experience in healthcare / medical benefits or claim inquiries / Retirement / Insurance and Customer Service is preferred.
• Proven communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to adapt communication style based on the caller's needs.
• Responds well in a stressful, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Handle member, provider, and broker inquiries via inbound calls and other contact channels.
• Provide accurate information on benefits, eligibility, enrollment, claims, and retirement accounts.
• Deliver high-quality service while promoting the organization's products and services.
• Research and investigate complaints to ensure compliance and proper procedures.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal and external partners.
• Follow HIPAA guidelines and protect member information.
