Job summary

Wing is seeking a Healthcare Virtual Assistant to support patient intake, appointment management, and medical record handling from a fully remote setup. The role emphasizes accuracy in CPT/ICD-10 coding, billing support, and HIPAA compliance while enabling coordination across healthcare professionals.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a medical field and at least 1 year of VA experience, with strong English communication skills (C1).

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in medical fields or the pharmaceutical-related industry.
1+ year experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant.
Excellent English communication skills (C1).
Solid understanding of medical terminologies and practices.
Proficient in EHR/EMR systems and able to troubleshoot.
Understanding of healthcare privacy regulations.

Responsibilities

Document new patient and referral intake.
Manage appointment bookings, cancellations, and rescheduling for patients and healthcare providers.
Input patient information, medical records (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS) into EMR/EHR systems.
Assist with processing insurance claims and handling billing inquiries.
Respond to patient inquiries and direct to appropriate healthcare professional.
Analyze healthcare data, prepare reports, and maintain records.
Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
Coordinate sending medical records as directed by the Managing Physician.
Ad hoc tasks as needed.
