Job summary

Texas Health Institute's Health Professions department seeks a positive Public Health Adjunct Instructor to teach Health & Wellness Coaching online, synchronously or asynchronously. The ideal candidate is committed to student success, equity, inclusion, and applying classroom experience to improve workplace performance.

You will deliver online courses using approved MCC outlines, provide structured feedback on coaching skills, monitor diverse learners, and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications

• NBHWC certification (National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching).
• Bachelor’s degree in a healthrelated field.
• 2 years of full-time related occupational experience.
• Minimum 200 hours of documented health & wellness coaching practice
• Experience providing structured coaching feedback aligned with NBHWC competencies.
• Experience teaching or facilitating diverse adult learners.
• Experience teaching in synchronous and asynchronous online formats.
• Familiarity with Canvas or a similar learning management system.

Responsibilities

• Teach online Health & Wellness Coaching courses using approved MCC course outlines.
• Deliver instruction aligned with NBHWC coaching competencies.
• Provide timely, structured feedback on coaching skills and student performance.
• Support diverse learners and monitor student progress.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance in accordance with college policies.
• Participate in courselevel assessment and continuous improvement activities.
