Job summary

SafetyWing is seeking a Care Navigator to support members on our US health insurance plan. You will help members understand benefits, find in-network care, and navigate the appeals process.

You will act as the liaison between members, providers, and payers, and contribute to product improvements through cost-data patterns. The role centers on translating plan design into plain language, resolving billing and coverage issues end to end, and guiding members to high-value care in a fully remote

Qualifications

• Several years in a medical-administrative or patient-facing coordination role.
• Hands-on experience with claims, medical billing, and pre-authorizations.

Responsibilities

• Be the warm, persistent point of contact a member can hand a confusing bill, denial, or complex question to.
• Help members navigate the appeals process and review complex cases as they come up.
• Review Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) to catch errors and advocate for the member.
• Coordinate between member, providers, and payers to resolve billing and coverage issues end to end.
• Help members and providers understand prior authorization requirements and ensure timely submission.
• Translate plan design and benefits into plain language so members understand coverage.
• Guide members toward high-value, in-network care and providers (administrative navigation, not clinical advice).
• Flag patterns in claims and costs to help improve the plan.
