Parkland Health seeks a Health Information Management support specialist to coordinate teams and ensure accurate patient records across EMR systems. You will assist with the creation, updating, and verification of master patient index data and chart tracking, supporting efficient access to medical records.

The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication, and ability to work independently or in a team.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Health Information Management or Healthcare Operations Applications procedures.
• Must successfully complete required training and meet performance standards within 90 days of employment.
• Must be able to operate multi-line phones, faxes, and copy machines.
• Must comprehend and apply established policy and procedures.
• Must demonstrate good decision-making and organizational skills.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate HIM Team work assignments and training within the department.
• Utilize EMR applications and master patient index to create and verify records.
• Review documentation in electronic and paper medical records for requests.
• Analyze and audit records to ensure data integrity and quality.
• Prioritize workflows and deliverables as directed by HIM Management.
• Prepare routine statistical reports as directed by the manager.
