Job summary

Pearson is seeking candidates for remote part-time Evaluation scoring roles. You will evaluate New York teacher candidate responses, apply scoring standards, and participate in consensus scoring activities. Training precedes scoring, with sessions Monday–Friday on a flexible intermittent basis.

This role is not bonus/benefits eligible. Qualified applicants may be educators or professionals with content-area experience, and must be eligible to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills (keyboard, mouse).
• Ability to sit for extended periods.
• Ability to maintain a confidential work environment.
• Eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate responses to test questions by New York teacher candidates.
• Internalize scoring standards, participate in discussions, and engage with other scorers in consensus scoring activities.
• Recognize and discuss various types of bias and strategies to reduce personal biases in scoring.
• Meet quality and productivity requirements established for the scoring program, including passing a qualifying test before scoring.
