Pearson, the world's learning company, is recruiting evaluators to remotely score teacher licensing responses for New York candidates from Malta, NY. You will apply scoring standards, participate in consensus scoring, and ensure quality.

Starting at $17.50 per hour, this remote role requires current teaching certification or recent teaching experience in the content area, plus ability to work US hours and maintain confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Must have a current teaching certification in the subject area applied for and be actively teaching or have taught in schools within the last three years.
• Alternatively, educators from colleges or universities who taught or advised a content area in the last three years are eligible.
• Or hold a degree in the content area with recent professional employment in the content area.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate responses to test questions by New York teacher candidates.
• Internalize scoring standards, participate in discussions, and engage with other scorers in consensus scoring.
• Recognize and discuss biases and apply strategies to reduce personal biases in scoring.
• Meet quality and productivity requirements and pass the qualifying test before scoring.
• Starting rate of $17.50 per hour; working remotely.
